At FPC Hope Center, we help young adults living in Kanawha and Clay counties, ages 18 to 25, transitioning from foster or kinship care move toward greater stability, confidence, and independence through caring relationships, case management, and practical guidance.
We believe every young person in West Virginia deserves the support they need to succeed.
What support looks like
Every path is different, that’s why we offer flexible support built around each person’s goals, needs, and next steps.
Young adults can be matched with a caring adult mentor who will listen, encourage them, and help them work toward personal goals. Mentors offer consistency, support, and a trusted relationship.
Structured mentoring
One-on-one support with a licensed social worker to help young adults get connected to emergency resources, including housing and food.
Case management
We help build everyday skills that support independent living, including communication, time management, and problem solving.
Life skills
Young adults can strengthen money management skills through guidance on budgeting, saving, and planning for long term stability.
Financial literacy
We provide educational tools and tutoring for young adults working to finish high school, earn a certification, or start college.
